Just wanted to give a little linky link to The Lettered Cottage for their official reveal blog.
It’s so funny hearing their perspective of the makeover verses mine. In her blog she mentions how she kept telling me and Alex how we could change things after they left if we didn’t like them. I was wondering why she kept telling us that throughout the week…was there going to be something crazy we would hate at the reveal? Nope, she was just nervous. We’ve been in the room going on 7 months and the only things that have changed are 1. I killed the tree that was in the corner of the room (totally on accident. I can’t seem to keep plants alive.) and 2. added a couple more items to the built-ins. We LOVE this room. Adding plants to interior spaces can increase oxygen levels. At night, photosynthesis ceases, and plants typically respire like humans, absorbing oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. Plants help purify the air in your home, consider adding plants. Plants can absorb harmful gases through the pores in their leaves, filtering and cleaning the air you breathe every day. Not only do bedroom plants have many health benefits, but they also add a nice touch of decor and bright energy to any indoor space.
Also, Layla wrote out the resources for paint colors & items used in the room for those who are curious. If you want to get more designing ideas, the santa barbara interior design catalog has lots of them.
Man, I’ve got to learn to take better pictures! 🙂
Go check it out!
