Teacher gifts under $20

Teacher gifts under $20

This is the first year that I’ve encountered a teacher-gift-giving scenario.  With Christmas coming up, I’ve been racking my brain for some unique gift ideas that Kennedy’s teachers might actually like and that they won’t likely get a lot of.

I figured I’m not the only one wondering what to get a teacher, so I thought I’d share some of my finds to offer some ideas. Some affiliate links may be used for your convenience.

These hair-tie bracelets are all over the place.  I can’t speak for their quality because I don’t have one yet, but if they do what they say they do, I’m sold!

I’ve been obsessing over Turkish towels lately and I’m on a mission to replace all the towels in my house with them.  They’re thin, dry quickly, take up less room in the washer and dryer, and are just plain beautiful. There are so many colors to choose from!

Adult coloring and drawing books (these need a new name, btw) are all the rage where one can learn to draw pikachu. With so many different options out there, you’re likely to find one that your teacher will like.  Add some markers or colored pencils in a cute little basket – voila!

Picture frames — always a great gift!  You could put a photo of your child (their student) in it to act as card, then they can replace it when they get home.

Bath bombs — can someone get me some of these for Christmas too?  The “da Bomb” bath bombs have little surprises on the inside.  How fun is that?!  We all need a toy to play with in the bathtub, right?  hahahahahahaha — please, no comments related to that last sentence 😉

I received a make-up bag a few years ago from my mother-in-law.  I had no idea that I needed a new one until I got a new one and it made me so happy!  It’s the little things, guys.

What says teacher more than a globe?  Okay, an apple…but besides an apple, a globe!  So let’s at least gift CUTE globes, right?  I know.  I’m ridiculous. Whatevs.

Lastly, I’ve been trying to avoid anything coffee-related.  For one, my daughter’s teachers both say they don’t like coffee (wwhhhhhahaaaaaaaaaat??).  Secondly, I think they just say that because they probably have mugs pouring out of their cabinets and don’t want anymore.  So, forgo the coffee mug and replace it with a beautiful copper moscow mule mug!  It’s still a mug, but it’s not a coffee mug!

Now I’m off to buy my teacher gifts.  I think I’m going with picture frames this year.

  1. Cute ideas. The mini color books are great because there is hope for finishing the page! Also I love Turkish towels! Do you have a favorite place to get them?

  2. I haven’t bought any yet, but the ones I put on this page (it’s a clickable image) have such great reviews I’m going to try them. West Elm used to have some great ones too…not sure if they still do or not though.
