Quick update about the carpet–we weren’t completely satisfied with the carpet options (& prices!) of the carpet store we originally went to so I took the samples back to the stores and headed to Lowes. They are having a Stainmaster special right now so I thought I’d check that out. I was happily surprised to find the kind of carpet we wanted from the get go (cut-in) at a great deal and with a wide variety of colors. It’s not Stainmaster carpet, but it’s price can’t be beat! Oh, and I also have a 10% coupon which will save us big time!
The carpet measurer guys came last Friday and I should be hearing back today with a more precise estimate…and if it goes as planned, hopefully we can schedule for instillation ASAP!
I’m thinking about working on the downstairs half-bath sometime soon. I need to move forward with a project that won’t cost a pretty penny. All of the trim, the doors, and the window frame that were a brown stain color are now white. That’s about as far as I’ve gotten (except for the fun window project, of course!).
I really like the idea of painting my current vanity a dark navy blue. In such a small room, I want to make a big statement by adding big amazon soy candles.
I absolutely LOVE this bathroom I came across on Pinterest. I also find the bronze fixtures gorgeous and never thought I could mix that with chrome, but in the picture above I think it looks just fine.
I think my hardest part will be finding the right color of Navy I’m looking for.
1. IKEA SONGE Mirror $79.99 2. Mercury finish bath accessories from Pier 1 3. Avanti Galaxy towel 4. Wall mount lighting found on Pinterest, but no link was attached 5. Glacier Bay faucet on Ebay $69 6. West Elm Bath Mat $16
I took the ENTIRE weekend off from any home improvements and it felt great. Sometimes I don’t realize how much time I spend working on the house. I absolutely love it, but it can certainly be draining sometimes. A weekend of rest is never a bad thing!
